How to choose a potting mix
Indoor foliage plants prefer a chunky, well-draining mix — typically cocopeat, perlite, and compost in roughly 2:1:1. Succulents and cacti need a faster-draining mix with sand or coarse pumice. Aroids like monstera and philodendron love bark chips for extra airflow.
Repot your plant every 18-24 months, or whenever roots start circling the bottom of the pot or peeking out the drainage hole.
Fertilising schedule
Most indoor plants want feeding every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (Feb-Oct in most of India) and nothing in winter. Use a balanced 19:19:19 NPK at half the bottle-recommended strength for sensitive plants like calathea, or vermicompost mixed into the top layer of soil every two months. Stop fertilising if the plant looks stressed.
Frequently asked questions
Is the potting mix sterilised?+
Yes. All our packaged mixes are heat-treated and pest-free, so you won't carry fungus gnats or root weevils into your home.
Are the pesticides safe around pets?+
We carry neem-based and other organic options that are safe around pets and children. Synthetic pesticides are clearly labelled — use them only on plants kept out of reach.
